Excess mortality plummets to nearly prepandemic levels
For nearly two years we have endured a downpour of ridiculous claims from antivaxxers about adverse effects from mRNA vaccines. Among the disinformation has been the allegation that the vaccines are deadly, so much so that one prominent antivaxxer said all those who have been vaccinated will be dead by 2025.
One of my commenters predicted my imminent demise when I revealed that I have had 5 doses of the Pfizer mRNA vaccine. I am still here and I haven't had COVID.
If their claims were true we should be seeing a tidal wave of death. Billions of doses of mRNA vaccines have been given, about half the US population received at least one dose. What does the latest data show?
“In fact, excess deaths are hovering at only ~1% above pre-pandemic rates (at the height of the pandemic we were at 47%). In other words, things are looking good right now.”
Where are the vaccine deaths that we were told were coming?
What the data actually shows is that despite suboptimal vaccination rates, they worked. If only we had been more successful in achieving higher vaccination levels we could have avoided some 300,000 unnecessary deaths due to vaccine refusal.
The antivaxxers weren't just wrong, they were deadly wrong. Their prediction that the vaccine would lead to increased death has not materialized.
The doctors and others who spread COVID vaccine disinformation have some explaining to do. Where are the vaccine deaths you predicted?

I've had no jabs and I'm still alive. Per your logic, all the vaxxers will now die because of this single data point. The reason excess deaths are slowing is because you can only die once. Booster uptake is terrible because so many became ill or saw their friends and neighbours die from the "fully vaccinated" two doses. The excess death increases correlated perfectly with the mandates. Also, you're whistling past the graveyard. Why do you think real vaccines take 10 or more years to go through approvals (which incidentally are nowhere near sufficient since no vaccine has ever had an RCT for safety?) The deaths from the jabs will keep occurring as rapid onset cancers will continue to manifest and autoimmune diseases continue to mount. We're only in the first inning.
