FDA Meeting Summary
Outstanding Analysis from Dr. Jetelina
Dr. Jetelina is amazing. Her analysis of the data is second-to-none. She summarized the key findings of today’s FDA meeting. The vaccines are safe and effective. Young children do get sick and are hospitalized at alarming rates if unvaccinated. COVID is NOT “the sniffles”. Lots of people aren’t getting vaccinated. She addressed what needs to be done going forward.
What’s missing from her analysis?
The most important issues: how do we silence the fake experts, the doctors od disinformation? How do expose their fraudulent resumes, phony faculty appointments and false research claims, lousy papers and embellished expertise?
How do we hold these frauds accounatble for the damage they have done? How do we discipline our colleagues who knowingly disseminate false information? How do we get the word out to the public that the doctors they think are experts are actually frauds? Before COVID, no one ever heard of these doctors. They are not in the same league as real infectious disease experts, not even close.
How did the students at the bottom become Dean?
How do we prevent unqualified doctors with fraudulent resumes from getting on TV and being proffered as experts? How do we stop corrupt politicians from using such doctors as pawns in their political strategy?
How can require that cable news programs actually perform primary source verification of the resumes of their “experts”? How can make sure state medical boards do their duty to protect the public from doctors who share deadly incorrect information? How do we undo the damage that was done to our public health efforts? How do we restore faith in vaccination, the single most effective public health strategy in human history now that fake experts have managed to convince so many people to forego it?
These are the issues we must address to improve upon our dismal performance in COVID. We cannot do these things unless and until we find ways to discipline and silence physicians who share deadly incorrect information with the public.
