Excess Mortality Among Physicians During COVID
We were dropping like flies before the vaccine became available

I remember it so well. In the early days of the COVID pandemic it was doctors and nurses who were disproportionately affected. Many of my colleagues died. We went to work every day to take care of people knowing we might catch the virus ourselves, and we did. Thats what we do. It’s what we have always done. Thousands of doctors and nurses were among the earliest to be infected and hundreds died.
The attached JAMA study confirms significant excess mortality among physicians during the pre-vaccine phase of the pandemic.
When the vaccine came out, we were moved to front of the list. I got my first COVID vaccine on Dec 24, 2020, just days after it was released. It was the best Christmas present ever. Four more vaccinations later, I still have not gotten COVID despite coming face to face with it every day.
Doctors were among the first to be vaccinated. We lined up in the auditorium to be inoculated, every single member of the medical staff was there. We were relieved to have a vaccine that provided a measure of protection. By April 2021, nearly every MD in the country had been immunized and our excess mortality stopped, just like that.
Now we go to work to take care of dying unvaccinated patients who with their last breath tell us it is all a hoax. Where did they get that idea? I think we all know the answer to that question.
The attached article from JAMA documents exactly what I saw and have described above. You should read it. Ask yourself, how is it that a gaggle of non-physicians with no training in medicine or infectious diseases have become “experts”? How is it that a handful of obscure physicians, none of whom are infection specialists, some having absolutely no clinical experience, are now “experts” telling us who lived it, that the vaccine doesn’t work, that masks don’t help, and mitigation strategies did more harm than good?
The data in the attached article provides a compelling case of real-world outcomes. The primary purpose of vaccination is to prevent death. The evidence that the vaccines do so is overwhelming. The study attached is just another piece of evidence confirming it. If only the vaccines had come out sooner, some of my colleagues would be alive today.
12 Months of Trauma: More Than 3,600 US Health Workers Died in Covid’s First Year | Kaiser Health News (khn.org)
To those physicians lacking training in infectious disease, internal medicine or who have no or incomplete post graduate medical education, no clinical experience and no license, I ask you, where were you in the early days of the pandemic? Were you hunkered down at home, or did you go to the front lines and put your life on the line for patients?
I would urge all fair-minded people to read these comments carefully. They speak for themselves.
We have four confounding factors: "The findings suggest that personal protective equipment use, vaccine requirements, infection prevention protocols, adequate staffing, and other workplace-based protective measures were effective in preventing excess mortality." To ascribe any results solely to the jabs is simply wrong.
This little tidbit is interesting: "active physicians had lower excess mortality than nonactive physicians despite their higher risk of contracting SARS-CoV-2 infection." A possible explanation is that the active physicians acquired actual (natural) immunity, in spite of the jabs.
And finally: "Study limitations include unidentified physician deaths and pandemic-related workforce changes, such as early retirement among older physicians, which would result in underestimation of mortality. During the first year of the pandemic, US physicians experienced excess mortality in addition to increased workplace stress and burnout. During COVID-19 surges, these conditions may strain hospitals, resulting in excess deaths in the general population." Not to mention that a physician can only die once, so the vulnerable due to age and lack of natural immunity would be expected to have met their demise early on, regardless of jab status. Correlation is not causation. By the time the jabs arrived, the weak had been lost, and the remainder survived in spite of being jabbed.
In Canada, doctor excess deaths skyrocketed after the introduction of the jabs with an absolutely unprecedented number of young doctors dying suddenly: https://lionessofjudah.substack.com/p/ninety-canadian-doctors-have-died
And instead of investigating, they delete records of the deaths to hide them and prevent autopsies from being done. Disgusting. The rate of death doubled since introduction of the jabs.
And another most obvious reason for deaths to have declined after the jabs' introduction is that the deadly strains were no longer circulating by then, only the sniffles, so it's apples and oranges comparing the two time ranges as though they were equivalent in this respect. It's all arm waving nonsensical arguments that simply don't stand up when the confounding factors are considered.
