COMEY INDICTED OVER SEA SHELLS

If ever there was malicious prosecution this is it.

Donald Trump is insane. After his prior indictment against Comey was thrown out of court almost immediately after it was filed, he is back at it. Now his personal attorney who just happens to be acting AG has filed another indictment against Comey. This one is even more ridiculous.

If ever there were a malicious prosecution this is it. Trump’s post today in which he gleefully flaunts his power to have people arrested and charged for joking about him is proof this is retaliation for criticizing him.

What exactly did Comey do? He arranged sea shells on the beach saying “ 86 47”. In Trumps mind this is an interstate call for Trump to be executed. I kid you not. Sea shells.

What exactly does “86” mean?

To “86” someone means to refuse service, eject, or ban a person—most commonly from a bar or restaurant. More broadly, it can also mean to get rid of something (“86 that idea”).

Where did “86” come from?

There’s no single proven origin, but a few leading theories—some more credible than others:

1) Restaurant / diner slang (most widely accepted)

In early 20th-century American diners and soda fountains, “86” meant an item was sold out.

  • A cook might say: “We’re 86 on meatloaf.”

  • It evolved naturally to mean “don’t serve this” → then “don’t serve this person.”

This usage is well documented in restaurant slang from the 1920s–40s, making it the most credible origin.

2) Bar code for “kick them out”

Bars adopted the term to discreetly signal staff:

  • “86 that guy” = cut them off or remove them
This fits naturally with the diner-origin theory and reflects how slang spreads within hospitality culture.

3) The “86-proof alcohol” myth

Some claim it refers to 86-proof liquor—implying someone is too drunk.

  • Problem: There’s little historical evidence this was ever standard usage in bars.

  • Considered unlikely by most linguists.

4) The “8 feet long, 6 feet deep” grave theory

A darker folk explanation: “86” = bury someone (8×6 grave).

  • No historical documentation supports this.

  • Likely a retroactive urban legend.

5) New York speakeasy story (fun but shaky)

A popular tale links it to Chumley’s, a Prohibition-era bar at 86 Bedford Street:

  • Supposedly, police raids led staff to shout “86!” to exit patrons.

  • Again, no solid historical evidence—but it persists as a colorful story.

Bottom line

  • Most likely origin: early restaurant slang meaning “out of stock / don’t serve.”

  • Modern meaning:

    • Refuse service

    • Eject someone

    • Eliminate or discard something

The bottom line is there is no basis for the indictment. To “86” someone is not a code calling for assassination. It means to boot someone out of an establishment.

75% of the American public wants Trump out. Nearly the entire world wants him out. He is the most despised POTUS in history and among a handful of the most reviled leaders in world history.
