Dr. Paul Thomas has had his MD licenses in both Oregon and Washington suspended indefinitely for giving incorrect information to parents about pediatric vaccines.
There have been very few instances where medical boards have taken such action until recently. Recognizing their obligation to protect the public and the physician’s obligation to practice evidence based medicine, medical boards are finally stepping up to stop doctors from giving patients wrong information.
Quite simply, doctors are expected to practice within the “standard of care”. How is that standard determined? It is based upon current best evidence published in the peer reviewed medical literature and guidelines published by specialty societies. As a pediatrician, Dr. Thomas must abide by the guidelines provided by the American Academy of Pediatrics. When it comes to infectious diseases, we must follow the guidelines provided by the Infectious Diseases Society of American and the Centers for Disease Control. We do not make up our own treatment protocols or base our treatements on unreliable sources such as social media or cable news.
Unfortuntely some doctors fell for the misinformation thrown at them by discredited fake news source, FOX News, who put unqualified doctors on the air leading viewers to believe they were legitimate experts. It is unfortunate that some doctors seemed to get their information from the wrong places. I feel bad for them. I can understand how easily they have been duped. I think Dr. Thomas and other doctors who are being taken to task by their medical boards can actually use that as a defense. Rather than clinging to their wrong headed ideas about vaccination, they should point to the sources they believed were experts and admit to be duped. The corrective action will be to be re-educated about where doctors go for accurate information. That will allow a path to getting a license back.
The bottom line for doctors is, don’t rely of FOX News, Facebook or Twitter for information. Those sources will steer you wrong.
The bottom line for doctors is, don’t rely of FOX News, Facebook or Twitter for information. Those sources will steer you wrong. JUST DO WHAT YOU’RE TOLD!
There. Fixed it for you, patmas.
Name one, just ONE, pediatric vaccine that has had a randomized controlled trial for safety on the US schedule. You can't, because there isn't one, and RFK Jr., after several lawsuits, forced Fauci to admit this incredible fact in a court of law. Every one of them is experimental, and they're experimenting on children which is abhorrent and disgusting.
